Sometimes, when I read a book or see a new resource for the first time, I think, “This is excellent; everyone has got to know about this.”
So, I bring you The Cataloger’s Stamp of Approval. This is my imprimatur on materials that I find to be outstanding, according to whatever criteria I have in mind at the moment.
I won’t give my ‘stamp’ to many materials, so if I do, I suggest you drop everything and come running to the library to look at it. (Or, if it’s online, that you click on through to the resource. Right away.)
If you think of a library resource that is truly outstanding, and you want everyone to know about it, send me an email at julie [dot] swierczek [at] salve [dot] edu. Similarly, if you want to suggest items for us to purchase, you can fill out this form.
